available on CD in North America, Nirvana's eponymous 2002 compilation
aka the Black Album is being issued domestically Blu-ray for the very
first time! The 14-track set features a selection of the band's more
popular songs from their three studio albums ("Smells Like Teen
Spirit," "Come As You Are," "In Bloom," "Heart Shaped Box," "Pennyroal
Tea"), back-catalog favorites ("Been A Son," "Sliver"), two cuts from
their MTV Unplugged sessions ("All Apologies," "The Man Who Sold The
World") and the previously unreleased track "You Know You’re Right"
which was recorded during Nirvana's final studio session and hit #1 on
Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart and remained there for four consecutive
weeks. Presented in 5.1 Surround Sound and three stereo audio formats:
PCM, DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD. Producer's Note: With this disc you are now able to hear at home what we hear in the studio. This Blu-Ray Disc contains 14 tracks from Nirvana's career in high resolution 96kHz 24-bit DTS-HD Master Audio Stereo, Dolby TrueHD Stereo, and PCM Stereo. It is primarily an audio-only disc with basic navigation and song information displayed on-screen. The 96kHz 24-bit audio on this disc has 256 times more resolution than a CD, providing greater detail and reproducing the music's full dynamic range, from the softest to the loudest sounds.
